I knew I could do it. I can knit lace. I have joined the bi-peds of the knitting world and have created a knitted lace cowl from the book Artic Lace and darn I am proud. Now it's off to try the February Lady sweater ... when the yarn arrives!
About moi? Why, thank you I shall.
I am an RN with a wit which helps me get through some pretty amazing situations at work and at home. I come from a long line of RNs dating back to the Middle Ages, well at least until my maternal grandmother and have passed the trait on to my daughter. The witty part started in my generation ... the other generations get the jokes but not so good with making them. They also don't appear trainable.
I work 12 hour shifts which allows much time for knitting, especially in the winter months. And so I knit ... while watching tv, while reading, while listening to music, while ignoring the dogs at the back door (and the dust bunnies on the floor) I knit.
I am the mother of two, a daughter who has blessed me with three grandchildren and a son who has blessed me by moving to SC for the winter. (Just kidding Mike.) I share my passion for my grandbebes with my daughter Kate and her husband and my lunatic love of Golden Retrievers with my son Mike.
I live in upstate NY which is to say one hour North of the Tappanzee.
Oops! Ran out of letters ..
